Continuing with my catch up scedule here is another cool 2012 project: Advanced Photoshop Magazine commissioned me to produced this graphical illustration for issue 97. My brief was to show readers how to create dynamic sports imagery whilst incorporating mixed media elements.
It has been a ridiculously long time since I last blogged! I could make excuses been really busy with commissions etc but I'm not. What I am going to do is play some serious catch up. 2012 was a very good year for me I was lucky enough to recieve a number of magazine cover commissions.
Here is one I did for the cool people over at IPC Media for Cycling Weekly's Olympic Book Cover. The illustration consists of the fabulous five British cyclists and gold medal contenders for London 2012.
This is a self initiated project. I wanted to experiment with using detailed silhouettes merged with textures, also I wanted to create a colourful piece against a black background.
A new clothing line called T.I.A (This is Africia) commissioned me to produce their logo in various formats from using just type to vintage stamp themed designs.
This is a collaboration with photographer Nick Reynolds reference his amazing shot of London Tower Bridge. It was created in illustrator using the pen tool and took me a few days but we are quite happy with the result.
I have not blogged in ages, my bad! Not really into new year resolutions as such but I am definitely going to post more regularly.
This is a conceptual piece I created a few months back intended to be a flip side of all the doom and gloom surrounding the economy these days entitled 'Got The Job!'
I was invited by Martin Dawber to feature in his new book 'Great Big Book of Fashion Illustration' published by Batsford. This book has over a thousand stunning illustrations form artists around the world. You can find my 'Premiership' illustration on page 237.
